Grants for Manufacturing Camps The FMA Foundation has teamed up with John Ratzenberger and his foundation, Nuts, Bolts, & Thingamajigs Foundation, to encourage young people into manufacturing. How to apply for 2008 Grants?First, learn about the application process and read the instructions for getting started online by downloading, "Applying for a Manufacturing Camp Grant." Second, print the PDF version of the Online Grant Application. By printing the PDF, you will be able to formulate your answers in advance of starting the online application process. Applications will be available online starting September 1st. Who may apply?Not-for-profit organizations and educational institutions capable of conducting a quality overnight or day camp experience that introduces young people to metal forming careers in manufacturing may apply. Collaborations between educational institutions and camp organizations are encouraged. When? The deadline for submitting a 2008 grant application is December 14, 2007. Grants will be announced by February 15, 2008. Amounts? Grants ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 will be awarded. Target population? Young people between 12 and 16 years old.
