How Do You Become an Engineer?Chris Osterholz works as a process engineer at Eclipse in Rockford, IL. He got his first introduction to manufacturing when he was just 14. He talks about the many steps in his life that took him from a 14-year old yard crew member to degreed engineer. He offers good advice for young people who may be thinking about manufacturing careers or are worried they won’t find the right niche to fill in manufacturing.
