Motor City Slitters Annual Golf Outing Gathers Golfers for a Good Cause

On July 17, join up to 250 golfers for a great day of outstanding golf and comradary. For the first time, this golf outing will take place at the Detroit Golf Club which offers two premier 18-hole courses designed by Donald Ross. Golfers will hit the links and enjoy networking at the evening reception and dinner. Registration and a BBQ lunch will begin at 10 a.m. with shotgun tee offs at 11:30 a.m. and Noon. The cocktail hour, raffle, and Processors’ Auction begin at 5:30 p.m. Learn more about this event.

In conjunction with the Motor City Slitters event, NBT will again host the Processors Auction to benefit the John Grossheim Memorial Scholarship program. This program is named after the long-time Outside Processors Council (OPC) member who was passionate about encouraging the next generation of workers to consider a career in the metals industry. Since 2011, generous OPC members have contributed over $150,000 to support manufacturing education!

This is not your ordinary fundraiser. In addition to traditional gift items or sporting event tickets, companies can donate services such as processing time, slitting, leveling, or transportation. Donations of processing services make this auction a fun and unique opportunity to promote your company’s brand while supporting a great cause.

Cash donations help the cause too! For donations of $500 or more, your company logo will be displayed on promotional materials before and during the event.

Place your bid today! Online bidding will be open June 1 and bidding will conclude at the Motor City Slitters event on July 17. Check the website to see what items or services are up for bid. Services can often be purchased at an amount that is below market value. When you place a winning bid, you can donate to the scholarship program and improve your bottom line in one transaction!
