Everyone has heard of the “Beat the Pro” contest at golf outings they attend. It’s a chance to try your skills against that of someone who makes a living by playing golf. But when do you get the chance to challenge Ed Youdell, President of NBT and FMA, to a contest of golf skills? The answer: Monday, Aug. 21 at Cantigny Golf Club.

NBT gives you the opportunity to support your industry’s future and have a great time doing it. Sign up for the fifth annual GOLF4MFG and enjoy 18 holes on a fabulous course with your colleagues and friends.

Check-in starts at 10 a.m. then head to the driving range where you can play a few games, meet fellow golfers, and warm up with a few practice shots. You will tee off by 11 a.m.—-grab a lunch and go as food and beverages will be served on the course. Skill contests are scattered throughout the course too and that’s where you’ll get the chance to challenge Ed Youdell. Will it be with your trusted 7-iron or the club with the silly head cover?

After you’ve played your best game ever :), enjoy the awards reception, raffle, and 50/50 accompanied by cocktails and filling appetizers. Find out which foursome gets their names on the giant trophy for the best score. Break down your day, hole by hole, while catching up with industry colleagues.

The best part is that your participation will support the manufacturing workforce of tomorrow. Generous folks like you have made a difference in students’ lives who have already chosen the manufacturing path through your donations to the scholarship fund. But, you’ve also changed the lives of students that never dreamed of giving manufacturing careers a shot. At summer manufacturing camps, over 1,000 students will get to create a take-home project with their hands during this summer alone.
