NBT Awards Spring 2021 Scholarships

Twenty-five students pursuing manufacturing careers received scholarships toward their post-secondary studies from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT), the foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International® (FMA). The scholarships will help these deserving students reach their academic goals and learn the skills needed for lucrative and fulfilling jobs in the manufacturing industry.

For the spring 2021 semester, NBT awarded scholarships valued between $1,500 and $2,000 to the following students across the country:

  • Anthony Angiulo, West Islip, N.Y., combination structural and pipe welding at Hobart Institute of Welding Technology
  • Hector Anguiano, Berwyn, Ill., engineering technology / mechatronics at Triton College
  • Scott Beebe, Ocean Springs, Miss., mechanical engineering at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
  • Celeste Branstrom*, Corpus Christi, Texas, biological and agricultural engineering at Texas A&M University — College Station
  • Favour Butterfield, Florence, Wis., electro-mechanical technology at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
  • Talia Cohen, Minneapolis, Minn., welding and metal fabrication at Minneapolis Community and Technical College
  • James Diodato, Madison, Wis., electronics at Madison Area Technical College
  • Nick Forsha, Eagan, Minn., welding and metal fabrication at Dunwoody College of Technology
  • Jimmy Galvan, Albuquerque, N.M., welding at Central New Mexico Community College
  • Leah Griesmer, Broadview, Ohio, mechanical engineering at University of Cincinnati
  • Max Kolesnikov, Orland Park, Ill., electronic / computer controls technology at Moraine Valley Community College
  • Jesse Larson, Yakima, Wash., instrumentation and industrial automation at Perry Technical Institute
  • Sang Yeob Lee, Skokie, Ill., manufacturing technology at Oakton Community College
  • Alan Montaño, Lyons, Ill., engineering technology / mechatronics at Triton College
  • Wyatt Paxton, Stuart, Neb., machining and manufacturing automation at Northeast Community College
  • Amanda Petrack, Beaver Dam, Wis., mechanical design technology at Moraine Park Technical College
  • Ethan Rhodes-O’Brien, Dillsburg, Pa., manufacturing engineering technology at Pennsylvania College of Technology
  • Brenten Rodgers, Floyds Knobs, Ind., mechanical engineering at Trine University
  • Alex Rojas, Yakima, Wash., electrical technology at Perry Technical Institute
  • Brenda Sanchez, Cicero, Ill., engineering technology / mechanical design at Triton College
  • Michael Sikinger, Sanford, N.C., welding technology at Central Carolina Community College
  • Kristi Taylor, Carrollton, Ga., welding at Georgia Trade School

  • Hunter Weber, Kendallville, Ind., industrial technology at Ivy Tech Community College
  • Ellen Zimmer, Medina, Minn., mechanical engineering at University of Wisconsin Madison
