NBT held its ninth annual GOLF4MFG® event on Aug. 9, 2021, at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, Illinois. Attendees enjoyed a great day on and off the course with friends and colleagues while playing an 18-hole scramble, plus competitive contests like the Marshmallow Longest Drive, Progressive Putting Contest, and the Confidence Challenge. Although storms threatened to ruin the festivities, the players lucked out with a rain-free round! See photos from the event.

GOLF4MFG Skills ContestAt the post-event reception, attendees had a great time networking during the cocktail hour and dinner buffet while hearing about NBT’s impact and the importance of getting involved with the foundation from NBT board member, Jeff Schroeder of ITW Welding.

Trophies and prizes were awarded to the winning foursome who scored an impressive 14 under par to take the big trophy. Congratulations on a great round to Mike O’Brien, O’Brien Steel Service; Scott Shepherd, Wynright Corporation; Pat Simon, FMA; and Ted Zurkowski, Wynright Corporation. 9th Annual GOLF4MFG Foursome Winners

Other trophy and prize winners included Roger Wilson for Straightest Drive; Joe Bonadonna for Closest to the Pin; Luke Adams for Longest Drive; Tim Doyle for Longest Putt; and Dan McCloskey for Marshmallow Longest Drive.

The 50/50 raffle was won by Daniel Harms, who generously donated the $700 prize back to the foundation.

However, the real winners are the students who will benefit from the funds raised through NBT’s summer manufacturing camp and scholarship programs. Because of the generosity of the sponsors and golfers, NBT was able to make a difference and raised close to $34,000 to support the future of manufacturing!
