Overwhelming Generosity Helps Support NBT’s Mission

Generous donors from across the industry helped make NBT’s silent auction at the FMA Annual Meeting a rousing success! Auction proceeds of over $29,000 will support NBT’s summer manufacturing camp and scholarship programs.
The foundation offered 51 items and experiences up for bid such as autographed memorabilia, tech gadgets, golf experiences, and many more. Whether in person or participating virtually online, attendees also had the opportunity to bid on unique, handcrafted items created at summer manufacturing camps, including a beautiful steel fabricated table and chair set and a metal shovel.
NBT hosted the silent auction during the opening reception of the FMA Annual Meeting on March 1, 2022. Conference participants were excited to gather in person with industry colleagues during the reception held at the Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay to kick off the week’s events.
The Annual Meeting silent auction is an important fundraiser that supports the programs of NBT. The camp program introduces younger students, ages 12-16, to many aspects of manufacturing and exposes them to rewarding career options. During camp, students make projects with their hands, tour local companies, work with machines and tools for the first time, and learn from dedicated instructors and knowledgeable staff members. 
The scholarship program helps dozens of students each year pay for college expenses as they learn the skills needed to pursue their manufacturing careers. NBT’s mission is to introduce the next generation to manufacturing and inspire them to pursue prosperous manufacturing careers. Fundraisers, such as the silent auction, help make that happen.
