11th Annual GOLF4MFG Outing Raises Funds for NBT’s Camp & Scholarship Programs

Winning Team at Golf Fundraiser
Golf enthusiasts gathered at the Glen Flora Country Club in Waukegan, Ill. on Aug. 21 for GOLF4MFG®, a golf fundraiser for Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs scholarship and camp programs. Golfers competed in various contests and witnessed a hole-in-one and helicopter ball drop.
Over the years, GOLF4MFG has attracted over 1,000 golfers and raised more than $285,000 to support NBT’s mission to build and encourage the next generation in manufacturing.
Helicopter Ball Drop is a First for GOLF4MFG
Participants at GOLF4MFG had the opportunity to display their golf skills while networking with peers on the course. Several contests were available for the golfers to compete in, with prizes for the winners. Notably, Kevin Kehoe’s hole-in-one on the 11th hole earned him an Eagle for his team and a golf package for two at Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Fla. Way to go, Kevin!
A new and exciting contest occurred this year in the form of a helicopter ball drop. Featuring a thrilling performance by pilot Leonard Khayat, a helicopter flew over the clubhouse before dropping hundreds of golf balls onto the fairway of the 18th hole.
