Proceeds from the NBT Silent Auction will support Camps & Scholarships

Over 240 conference attendees had the opportunity to peruse and bid on a number of items from home décor to sports memorabilia, conference passes to jewelry, artistic creations to techy electronics–even a drone and a welder were part of the 2016 NBT Silent Auction. This eclectic collection set the stage for a night of comradery, networking, and fun on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at the Paradise Point Resort in San Diego, Calif., setting the tone for the rest of FMA’s Annual Meeting that week.

The proceeds from the auction support the summer manufacturing camps and scholarship programs of Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (NBT), the foundation of FMA. NBT gives students ages 12-16 camp opportunities to make projects with their hands and discover their interest and passion using manufacturing tools and technology. Scholarships are awarded to college-bound students pursuing manufacturing and STEM-inspired careers.
