NBT to Establish Scholarship to Honor Dick Kallage

I remember when I met Dick Kallage. It was FABTECH®. I had walked in during the middle of a seminar, and I saw his PowerPoint slide showing a simple line, with “money out” on one end (spending on materials and labor) and “money in” (customer payment) on the other.

NBT Silent Auction Raises Over $18,000

Proceeds from the NBT Silent Auction will support Camps & Scholarships Over 240 conference attendees had the opportunity to peruse and bid on a number of items from home décor to sports memorabilia, conference passes to jewelry, artistic creations to techy electronics–even a drone and a welder were part of the 2016 NBT Silent Auction.

Gearing up for the NBT Silent Auction

NBT is seeking donations for their annual silent auction on Feb. 24 in San Diego. The silent auction takes place during the welcome reception at the FMA Annual Meeting. Over 300 conference attendees will get the opportunity to browse, barter, and bid on a collection of the most eclectic variety of items, as well as, industry services and business opportunities.

Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs Awards Spring Manufacturing Scholarships

Fifteen students pursuing careers in manufacturing each earned $2,500 or $3,500 in scholarships toward their post-secondary studies from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT), the foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA), Rockford, Ill. For the spring 2016 semester, NBT awarded manufacturing scholarships to the following students:

FMA Announces Plans To Move Headquarters To Elgin, IL from Rockford

ROCKFORD, ILL. (December 1, 2015) – The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA) announced today plans to move its headquarters office and operations from Rockford, Ill., to Elgin, Ill. The relocation will offer greater access and convenience for FMA members, suppliers and other industry stakeholders, particularly those located in the greater Chicago area or approximate to the Interstate 90 corridor, FMA executives said.
