Tek 2 Go camp has been held at Itawamba Community College in Tupelo, Miss. for several years and mentored by Hawkeye Industries. Watch this year’s campers make their projects using the latest manufacturing equipment during their project day at Hawkeye.

The summer manufacturing camps at Anoka Technical College in Minnesota are the perfect demonstration of the NBT camp model: they demonstrate what manufacturing is, allow for hands-on experiences with multiple manufacturing technologies, provide insights into local manufacturing companies, and introduce kids to the variety of career options that can be found in manufacturing environments.
ROCKFORD, Ill., Jan. 22, 2015 – Thirteen students pursuing careers in manufacturing each earned $2,500 toward their post-secondary studies from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, The Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. (FMA). For the Spring 2015 semester, Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (NBT) awarded manufacturing scholarships to the following students:

The TEK Starz student group participated in a NBT Summer Manufacturing Camp at the Arkansas State University Newport – Jonesboro Campus. The Camp took place June 9 – 13, 2014.
Chris Osterholz works as a process engineer at Eclipse in Rockford, IL. He got his first introduction to manufacturing when he was just 14. He talks about the many steps in his life that took him from a 14-year old yard crew member to degreed engineer.
