Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) is getting ready to host its third annual awards gala on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at Manzo’s Banquets in Des Plaines, Illinois. Along with presenting sponsor AMADA AMERICA, INC., NBT will celebrate some of manufacturing’s finest champions and guests at this exquisite in-person event.
Schools across the U.S. that hosted NBT manufacturing camps this year strengthened ties with local manufacturers and helped create a pipeline of students who are now encouraged to pursue a career in manufacturing. These intrigued and inspired students may one day enroll in a manufacturing program at the same school where their camp was hosted and receive the skills training needed for future jobs in their local community.
Peddinghaus Corporation donated $50,000 to Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) in support of its nationwide summer manufacturing camp program with a focus on welding camps. The gift will be announced at FABTECH® 2021 when the company’s CEO Anton Peddinghaus presents a check to NBT President and CEO Ed Youdell during Peddinghaus’ exclusive customer appreciation event on Monday, September 13.
NBT held its ninth annual GOLF4MFG® event on Aug. 9, 2021, at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, Illinois. Attendees enjoyed a great day on and off the course with friends and colleagues while playing an 18-hole scramble, plus competitive contests like the Marshmallow Longest Drive, Progressive Putting Contest, and the Confidence Challenge.
A Pennsylvania College of Technology team of instructors and students from the school’s welding program fabricated the framework for the Living Chapel, a massive architectural structure designed to be a symbol for the “ecological awakening of humanity”.

Thirty-one students pursuing manufacturing careers received scholarships from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) for the fall 2021 semester. The scholarships will help these deserving students reach their academic goals and learn the skills needed for rewarding jobs in the manufacturing industry.
GOLF4MFG® is NBT’s flagship golf event held every year in the Chicagoland area where attendees get to live out their PGA Championship dreams while supporting NBT’s impactful summer manufacturing camp and scholarship programs. As GOLF4MFG enters its ninth year, NBT’s staff have been reminiscing about all the memories made over the years.
