The Power of Industry, Impact on Industry, and the Future of Industry Awards were presented at the inaugural Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) Awards Gala on Thursday, October 24, in Fox River Grove, Illinois. Over 150 donors, colleagues, and friends gathered at Avanté Banquet Center to celebrate and honor the award finalists for their contributions in building a skilled manufacturing workforce for the future.
The Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) summer manufacturing camp season ended in September with 125 camps that took place across the U.S. Thousands of middle and high school-aged students attended summer camps at their local community colleges, technical schools, or high schools.
Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) would like to thank the sponsors and guests of the seventh annual GOLF4MFG® fundraiser at Prairie Landing Golf Club in West Chicago, Illinois. Players came out to drive, chip, and putt on the prairie-style fairways and greens on August 19.

$56,500 in Manufacturing Scholarships Awarded Thirty-six students enrolled in programs that lead to careers in manufacturing received scholarships toward their post-secondary studies from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT), The Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International® (FMA).
Across the state of Wisconsin, 12 camps serving 200 students will benefit from the generous support of a $10,000 donation from Appleton, Wisconsin-based Miller Electric Mfg. LLC. The camps will enable students to do something a little different this summer — learn manufacturing skills.
Summer camps help keep manufacturing in America vital by developing the next generation of a skilled workforce. Ideally, after a student attends a camp, and upon high school graduation, he or she will enroll at the same college that hosted the camp where their passion for a career in manufacturing began.
The generosity was overwhelming as Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (NBT) raised over $43,000 for its camp and scholarship programs. Many thanks to the donors and bidders who participated in the NBT Silent Auction at the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association’s Annual Meeting.
The PMMI Foundation, Reston, Virginia, is supporting ten summer manufacturing camps in 2020 and 2021 with a $100,000 grant to Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT), the Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Int’l.
